You are never alone. Scholarship Track is with you!
HAPPY SUNDAY!
Thank you for joining us - grab a cuppa and let’s chill together!
Smiling is a natural drug that instantly boosts your immune system due to the release of neurotransmitters, can lower blood pressure and reduce pain as a smile brings along endorphins, other natural painkillers and serotonin being released into your body to help you relax and calm down.
Okay so enough of the medical gibberish, and let us focus on the real matter here. The youth of today faces many hardships - mental health is one of the biggest hardships being faced. Rejection is common and sometimes we may or may not realize what rejection does to us. Sometimes it can lower our self-esteem to the point that we may just give up - give up on applying for more opportunities, give up sometimes on even our career.
SCHOLARSHIP TRACK SAYS DO NOT GIVE UP!
Rejection is like a water break in the middle of a hike. The reason why we started the hike and we are here is because of our goals; the water break is there for us to replenish ourselves - it is normal to feel tired and overwhelmed, thus rejection is normal - but that water break makes us stronger and contributes to finishing that hike. Thus, rejection makes us stronger to learn from our mistakes and make a comeback via applying for more opportunities.
DO NOT let rejection break you. Make it a water break.
A frown is temporary. A smile is forever. Keep on smiling to elevate the mood. A genuine smile helps keep you positive and strays away thoughts of negativity (potential rejection); a smile makes you appear more confident in front of recruiters; a smile is contagious you can make a person’s bad day a good one; and smiling is also attractive - everyone likes a good smile, who knows maybe your Friday Netflix and ice cream binge can turn into a movie date with someone.
KEEP ON SMILING BECAUSE LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND HARDSHIPS ARE TEMPORARY.
The opportunities listed in this particular edition have deadlines coming up shortly! Do not hesitate – this is 2021 no time to hesitate – apply now!
